Hi, I'm Richb from the Midwest. I guess as time goes on I will get a little more specific. Found this forum today, checking it out. I write my own blog on politics. Don't know the rules on posting the url for that, so I won't promote it at the moment. Used to blog on townhall a few years ago when they had blogs there. I am just restarting, recently, a political blog as townhall ended blogging without any notice so I lost years of posts. Started one on blogger, but since its run by google, its probably endangered if I get a little too truthful. If anybody has a better place to blog, I would love to hear it (would prefer a blog that ads can be added, I need the income, the Obama recession is really hurting).
Glad to find a place to comment at, since commenting on NRO is getting really annoying due to Disquis censoring.

Rich, welcome to the forum. You're welcome to repost your URL here. If you're penning an original op-ed, you can use the "Member Original Diaries" forum in the "Forum Business" section, or, if your piece is specific to one of our other specific forum topics (likely) you can post it there.
Also, feel free to chime in on any other threads you find of interest.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I see some good threads, will jump in soon, it will be nice to not have so many liberal trolls to deal with too. So many conservative sites are infected with them with no moderation to speak of. Will be nice to have some sane conversations.

that's not a problem here--the only issue is there are some who like to play with them first and others like to toss them immediately

I like to play with the trolls before banning.
And it's more me giving them a chance to not be idiots than just playing with them. I mean, playing with them is fun but I wouldn't mind an honest lib (define: one who actually wants to have a conversation or debate) so I give them a chance (albeit, a very small chance) to be decent during the time before ban hammer.
Hasn't happened yet, obviously, but in a universe of endless possibilities it could happen.

In my experience some libs have a thick skin (matches their heads) but many do not want to debate and will get all huffy and either throw a tantrum, insults and then leave or just leave.
