Marines Scoff at Obama's Proposed 'Girly' Hats

A plan by President Barack Obama to create a unisex-style cap for the Marine Corps' uniform has Leathernecks up in arms over a look that many have derided as "girly."
"We don't even have enough funding to buy bullets and the DOD is pushing to spend $8 million on covers that look like women's hats," a senior Marine told The New York Post.
The hats, which are smaller and thinner, are apparently aimed at looking as good on females as on males.
They are called the "Dan Daly" hat in honor of a Long Island sergeant who earned the Medal of Honor during World War I, according to the Post.
But the current hat has been a fixture of the Marine Corps since 1922, and critics think the new look is too feminine. Some also say it looks too much like a "porter's cap."

I can't decide whether this is just a derisive joke by obama played on a military for which he has no respect, or just the mad ramblings of an angry graduate student of "women's studies" as revenge for perceived slights by manly men.
they will make the Marines look like a cross between a train porter and Charles De Gaul.

A good hoax is always believable (think Orson Wells and his Mercury Theater radio scare fest). This one is all the more believable knowing the strong antipathy our Cut'n'Run-in-Chief has for our military.

We all know better, but it happens nonetheless, and more often lately, I think, because these sorts of tall-tales are becoming ubiquitous.
There's a tale going around the web that Sarah Palin was on Fox News with the morning monkeys talking about how Jesus celebrated Easter. On the face of it, that's ridiculous, but so is the idea that she said she could see Russia from her house. She said no such thing, but people are still repeating it today.
Bebsides, the crap from Obongo and his merry band of thugs is so egregious, ya can't put anything past them.
