There is also a phenomenon, examples of which I have encountered and continue to encounter frequently in the business world. And that phenomenon is the High Powered Career Woman. The High Powered Career Woman seems to self-consciously adopt all the cliched attributes of alpha males in her effort to be seen as a dominant individual. There's one where I work now who I am quite certain goes in for a yearly prostate exam. The reason it's a phenomenon of sorts is because High Powered Career Woman, in all her various permutations, quite often suddenly finds herself 45 years old, unmarried, and childless. That is apparently the Promised Land of feminism, but so many of them seem to be suddenly overwhelmed with regret upon reaching that realization.
The feminists would of course argue that by even pointing this out it must mean I think women are broodmares to be kept proverbially barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. That's not at all the case. What I think the tragedy is, is how feminism has warped the culture in ways that encourage women to sublimate the maternal instinct (the most powerful imperative in all of nature) into these artificial pursuits that ultimately prove unfulfilling to the women who do so. There's just something tragic about that, and when you look at what is happening all across the Western world with the inverted family tree (<40 grandchildren for every 100 grandparents) it speaks further to the Culture of Death that permeates the Left.
