Topic: fascinating interview with Yuri Bezmenov

I know some of you have seen excerpts of this interview pieced together before, but this is the first time I've seen the bulk of the interview unedited. It's worth watching, because so many of his warnings hit you like daggers when you realize he was imploring people with these warnings in 1985, 26 years ago. He speaks candidly about the Useful Idiots in the West who undermine us, and how they are always the first ones eliminated when their socialist revolution actually happens.

For those unfamiliar with him, Yuri Bezmenov was a former analyst/agent for the KGB who defected to the USA.

This video lists it by the numbers.  ETA if you watch 1 minute you'll watch the rest.

Looking for info on Bezmenov found the video on YouTube also.

Correction

Bing has the full DailyMotion interview, if the DM audio is not clear.

Don't know.  This is my first exposure to him.
Considering the date it kind of knocks your socks off.

Was thinking about it today, maybe he was a put on artist.
Hell if he was making that up he could have given Clancey
a run for his money.

I would have to do a lot of fact-checking to know for sure.  Some of the defectors we got inflated their importance to us.  The good ones know not to overplay that hand and meter out the goodies over a long period of time.  Once they loose their relevance the hit to their pocketbook and ego can be a downer.  Some actually did have pretty good info to pass along, but the pointy-heads on our side either viewed them as too fancyfull or failed to fully explore them.  Paranoia on both sides tends to run deep and the fear of misinformation and getting played can actually lead to an envirnment where misinformation and getting played can thrive.  Much of my Cold War reading as fallen by the wayside the past decade or so...

If I'm not mistaken and I might be, didn't the release of the Venona (sp?) Papers finally vindicate and validate a lot of what these former KGB folks told us?

I believe so, I think the Rosenberg's and the passing of atomic secrets to the Russian's were a key in this, as was the case of Alger Hiss and those ensared in the Kim Philby affair.
