We're long past being surprised, but we should still chronicle media malfeasance when and where we see it. @Newsbusters... Networks Skip Democratic Congressman's Call for Union Protesters to 'Get a Little Bloody'Wednesday's nightly newscasts and Thursday's morning shows completely ignored video of a Massachusetts congressman exhorting union protesters in Wisconsin to "get a little bloody" in the fight against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today and CBS's Early Show all skipped the extreme rhetoric by Democratic Representative Michael Capuano. Fox News on Wednesday and Thursday did cover the remarks. Capuano eventually apologized for the remarks he made on Monday. His original statement: "I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once in awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary." (NBC's Nightly News, CBS's Evening News and ABC's World News also skipped the subject.) Although not interested in Capuano, Early Show's Dean Reynolds alerted viewers of controversial comments made by Jeffrey Cox, a deputy attorney general from a Republican-run state. He explained, "Meanwhile, in nearby Indiana, which has its own budget showdown, a deputy attorney general tweeted that Wisconsin authorities should use live ammunition against the labor protesters. He said later he was being satirical. But he was fired anyway." |

Exactly. We don't simply have an incompetent media, or even one that simply has an unintentional bias. We have a media that actively and knowingly uses its power over the dissemination of information to aid the left wing agenda. Our beloved little 4th Estate bears an enormous share of the blame for the cultural rot that has very nearly gutted this country over the past 50 years.

Yip. And there are probably a dozen or more YouTubes floating around from just this past week alone, of actual physically aggressive contact by union thugs. All of it ignored in the media. They'll take that as encouragement to do more of the same. Somebody's going to end up getting killed. |
