I guess some reporters are willing to sacrifice themselves for the story, but this carries it a LITTLE too far. puke Video at link.

http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/fox-reporter-gives-update-covered-in-sea-foam-20110827

Quote
MYFOXNY.COM - A local news reporter from Washington, D.C. ended up getting covered in what is probably the remnants of raw sewage as he delivered live hurricane reports from Ocean City, Md.
WTTG-TV reporter Tucker Barnes was providing live updates for stations around the country as a wall of what he described as sea foam poured over him.
Barnes was on the boardwalk as Hurricane Irene hit the coast of Maryland
He noted that he had immersed himself in organic material.  That "organic material" was most likely the effects of raw sewage pouring into the water during the storm.
"It doesn't taste great," he said.
He said it had a sandy consistency and added, "I can tell you first-hand, it doesn't smell great."
The foam is often a toxic mix of pollution and cyanobacteria.
60 mph wind gust sprayed the toxic mix across the reporter and the boardwalk and coated buildings.
Bubbles and foam in the ocean can be caused by several other things, including oils from decomposing animals.

On the tube is an interview and video of a man swimming in the streets of NJ, no doubt both of these people are products of government education.

Who is a bigger idiot, this reporter or the surfers risking rip-tides?

You can't fix stupid. It's just not possible.

Hurricane Reporter Covered in Sea Foam

You will notice that this moron's producer and film crew are on the other side of the boardwalk on the third or fourth floor of the hotel. They must have gotten quite a chuckle at Ron Burgundy Jr. standing out in the storm eating sh*t.

Do we really need to see reporters out in the middle of a hurricane?

They make it seem like a game.

They have special powers or something that they can ride out a storm?  They're tough?  Called by a higher good?

It's Dan Rather's fault.
Before him hurricanes were the purview of meteorologists.

YEAH SURE THEY DO. A couple of idiots got into a canoe and decided to go for a ride down what is normally a shallow stream(that they call a river)and they flipped over and one hasn't been recovered. They now have all kinds of people out there searching for a dead man. There has to be useless loss of life because people are brainded.

That's it dude, you know, like, if they were surfers man, they would you know,
know how to swim an stuff.  And all about tides and things. An like surf boards
don't sink so if you turn it over you can like, hold on.    Tight.

You have to admit that the above vid was the funniest thing to come out of the hurricane coverage. It would have been funnier to see one of those "man on the beach" guys lifted off of his feet and flung into the ocean but having this clown describe the way that sewage tasted was about as good as it gets..."sandy, soapy...kind of organic."

Imagine his future reporting assignments based on that one.
