LINKProtesters are locking the Capitol doors shut from the inside using metal handcuffs, Meade reports from the scene.
He told me that just now, by phone. He got out, and is warning others not to go in. Obviously, it's a terrible fire hazard to make it so people cannot get out of the building easily. Presumably, protesters think it's a good idea to keep the police out, but it is dangerously stupid.
ADDED: Meade called back to say, some of the doors are handcuffed shut and some are wide open. "ANYBODY CAN GET IN AND ANYBODY CAN BRING ANYTHING IN. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SECURITY WHATEVER."
AND: Meade — who just got home at 9 CT — says the police have the "fairly calm jocose" attitude that they've had all along. They have no riot gear, he said. The place is "swarmed" with protesters. Photos and video soon.

One of the protesters quoted by NPR in Madison was described as a "Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant" which means he's a leftie without a real job who has learned early how to suck off the government tit . He's apparently one of Stymie's future "Comminity Organizers" .

I do not believe the National Guard should be involved. The Left already has a plan to attack our military with snipers to precipitate another Kent State. The UNIONIZED Madison Police should be ordered to clear the Capitol. Should they refuse, they should all be fired and the State Police called in.  |

As far back as early/mid February (see video), Walker was invoking the readiness of the National Guard to step in to the situation. Tough call on when to do it, but I would say that the capitol being overrun, windows smashed, doors torn off hinges, door handles handcuffed shut from the inside, and a concerted effort to physically prevent lawmakers from entering the building to do the job they were elected to do, ramps this whole thing up to a completely unacceptable level. It needs to end now.

Time to go in and ask for IDs if they're not from Wisconsin they have no business in the building. When business hours are over they need to get the hell out. Tomorrow the need to have cops at the door ans letting people in only if they have business in the building if they don't no entry. Those that get in are to be escorted to where they have business and out ASAP.
Those that try to push their way in it's clubs and cuffs and a half a dozen charges and jail time.When it gets expensive to put on the show it will end.(a few lumps wouldn't hurt either)
