Full disclosure: I'm not Catholic either, but CAtholics better recognize the liberal mantra " too big to fail" does not apply to religious institutions.
The religious community better wake up.
This is too weird that the Catholics are split on how much the government should be responsible for. I grew up Catholic but left when I was in my early 20s. There were things that I disagreed with the church on. Most were minimal disagreements. Heck even today I'm more Catholic than Most Catholic. I just don't get it. If there are so many doctrines and beliefs that Catholics disagree with then why call yourself a Catholic. I feel that within a few years, if the Church keeps giving their blessings to the government, they will be nothing but a governmental church like they have in China.
