If we are concerned with 1995 taking place again....How is that gonna change next time? We should have the same concern, shouldn't we? Wow, I'm eating my crap sandwich...and it is good? I guess next battle someone will throw on a little mustard, maybe a pickle and tell me it will taste much better now.

Dun Wun and his thugs have Boehner's number now and they know it; just threaten to "shut down the government" and he'll cave because he doesn't want to take the personal hit ala Gingrich. eta: I've seen it said elsewhere that Boehner's emotional reaction to being made Speaker came from realization of his personal ambitions, iow, just like with Duh Wun, it's all about the "O", with Boehner, it's all about the "B". I was under the impression that Boehner didn't get the Speakership because he's loved and adored and was "deserving", but because he was seen as one able to get the job done. Sheesh, more the fool I.

That’s the only way it’s going to happen. We’re on the Titanic and we’ve seen the iceberg. But the Titanic doesn’t turn on a dime. Particularly not with a blind man at the wheel. I've been using the Titanic metaphor as well recently. Next up - the debt ceiling. My prediction - if we don't hold the line (0% increase in the debt ceiling) it is a sign that the captain has noticed that he is bearing down on the iceberg and has chosen to signal "Full Speed Ahead". ...and I will accelerate my plan to go Galt.

Levin said: I want to see some action baby. And you know they only have certain leverage points. This was one of them, the debt ceiling will be one, and the 2012 budget will be one. And when he keeps saying, 'OK, let's get on to the next battle', after a while you lose them all.Yes, the clock is ticking, we are going into the second of three rounds. It may get a little tense. It's also sad watching your country being torn apart, ripped away.

Rush Limbaugh You need to know something, folks. You're all wired and ready for the debt ceiling fight, right? Don't be. The ruling class on the Republican side has decided the debt ceiling is not the next battle. It's the Ryan budget now. And when we get to the Ryan budget -- this a prediction -- the same people are gonna say, why fight this battle now?
The latest from Rush, on Facebook. We all know he's right, of course.

And now the revelation the supposedly 38 billion saved was nothing more than an accounting gimmick. Cooking the books. But we are gonna win the next battle...Really , I mean it.

The budget compromise struck last weekend has been exposed by the Congressional Budget Office as a SHAM. The CBO reports that the alleged $38 billion in cuts actually amounts to just $353 million in real cuts! The rest of the alleged "cuts" were accounting tricks and supposed "future" cuts! And when the full effect of all the increases in spending are taken into account, Politico reports that "CBO now says that total discretionary outlays for 2011 are higher -- not lower -- by about $3.3 billion than it had estimated in December." So instead of the "compromise" total of $38 billion in spending cuts, Congress is actually voting on a budget deal that has NO REAL CUTS AT ALL!

And being concious must just be to too painful for him. Also, you notice how when leftnuts grow older, it really is harder to tell if they have Alzhiemers or dementia...since their so batsh*t crazy anyway...so I'd bet dollars to doughnuts there are a lot of leftards being left in office well past their expiration dates!
