I am curious as to why now?  As Brit Hume said the other night, this is old news and they won this battle by The king outlawing such methods.  I understand there is always a reason for everything they do, but can't quite figure this one out right now.  Could this be connected with Clinton's comments the other day about being more considerate and understanding of our enemy??  But this seems to be to early for the 16 election.  Everyone forgets yesterdays news.

So, anybody got any ideas what the end game is here, beyond the demonizing of anyone and anything which would help protect our country.

Everything they do is coordinated with every wing of their contemptible Democrat-Media-Academia complex.  Rush mentioned a few weeks ago that seemingly out of the blue there were multiple TV shows introducing plot elements pertaining to CIA torture from 10 years ago. In light of the latest acts by the outgoing Senate majority, you can see they were prepping the narrative. It's sort of like how that out of nowhere question Stephanopoulos threw at Romney about birth control was prepping the narrative for the "War on Women" meme that came later. None of this happens in a vacuum.

As to their motives?  I figure it's just a nice turd to drop in the punch bowl before the Republicans take over the Senate.  Gin up a fresh "America is awful and no better than the worst barbarians in history" sh*tstorm.

A lot of this gets back to universalism taken to ridiculous ends.  It's as if people have completely lost the ability to do contextual comparisons, and instead everything has to be this radical sameness (i.e. an Al Qaeda operative is no different John and Jane Q. Public).

I say plucking a single hair from one of our people is worse than anything being done to these sh*theads. Yeah, that's a value judgment. It's an assertion that my notions of morality with respect to my own people are different than my notions of morality with respect to the other. It's not a universal. I actively discriminate based on who it's being done to.

You see the same sort of perverted universality with the death penalty protesters. To them, what the condemned have done to others means nothing. It's just automatically wrong in all circumstances (well, unless it's an unborn baby -- there are limits to their universality after all).
