Most here know I fish a lot. I am shocked at how few boats are on the water. Just from an anecdotal perspective it appears to me that I'm seeing less than half the normal numbers.

Come down here. On the week-ends, a lot of the lakes have so many boats you can walk across the lakes on the decks.

The government probably owns the beach and the water. 
When they do that it cuts out a lot of folks from getting to the fish.
