I can see 54% of demoscats...they are the low-info loving morons...and the 12% of Pubbies which has to be the scum-sucking Liz Cheney/Mitt Romney/Mitch McConnell cuck types...I guess more than anything I am disappointed in the 27% of independents...just wtf have they seen or haven't seen?

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

People in former East Germany were raised under USSR propaganda and see it clearly now in MSM and govt. West germans mostly do not.

Polls.  News stories. West Germans were used to ignoring the official news under USSR as BS. The west Germans mostly trusted their media.

Middle sentence should be East not West, yes?

The East used to have an easier time getting Western news back then too...

I recall in the East they got VOA and RFE when not jammed..
Only KGB spies got things like Life magazine.
A real life embedded USSR spy in US said the USSR knowledge of life in US was minimal and wrong.
His training was awful he said.
Putin lived in the west and had rare experience. West Germany I think.
I recall VOA and RFE tried to be objective so as to be more credible.

Recently some Baltic country recently arrested people for providing VPN access to Russian media.

Yes, as a young KGB officer in the counter-intel directorate he transferred to the foreign ops & intel directorate where he got to "monitor" foreigners and foreign consular officials...and the German immersion program in Marxist school number whatever in his youth in Leningrad came in handy when his posting changed from monitoring folks in his hometown to being posted to Dresden as a "translator" until The Wall fell.
