Bank for Intl Settlements (BIS) may end project mBridge
« on: October 29, 2024, 12:17:42 PM »

I do not understand this stuff.

mBridge would allow non dollar payments and was talked bout at recent BRICS.  US govt person just said that mBridge would undermine democracy. BIS is Swiss and Switzerland used to be neutral. Now?

Of course anytime they trot out the threat to democracy BS they are not telling the truth...the truth is it would threaten the dollar, but really, what is a bigger threat to the dollar than the spendaholic UniParty, the politically compromised Fed & Treasury?  Sure China and others doing the monetary gimmicks...but prime threat #1 to the dollar is from the enemy within...

Also, if the US and its allies can nix a non-dollar settlement clearinghouse, well shame on the BRICS+ for picking a bad vendor...

Also, I would argue mBridge is stupid to do, it relies upon CBDC's...you live in a nation with CBDC and you live in a totalitarian state...now, many in the BRICS+ are already a totalitarian state or not far off, so...convincing them it is a bad idea may be difficult, and like many people in those nations have a say, LOL!

IMO recent massive US sanctions will accelerate movements like USD alternatives. i am told that massive use of USD helps US citizens live better.

I think it is like over use of anti biotics speeds up mutations to overcome them.

I have a couple of issues with that statement...

First, if sanctions are causing an inexorable desire to find alternatives to the dollar and SWIFT,  then it means these sanctioned nations are lying when they say the sanctions are having no impact and their people are living happy unimpacted lives...and admits their primary motivation is to hurt the American people thinking that will impress their corrupt government to alter course, which of course it will not...at least not this current insane American regime...

Secondly, I repeat...it requires nations to take that final stroll across the Rubicon to totalitarianism - CBDC.

And I repeat again, I think BRICS+ would be wise to refrain from any hasty decisions until we see the outcome of our election...

If the trends, polling and betting are all wrong...all the panic in demonazis is gaslighting and the unthinkable happens and another US election is jacked...then we and the world are effed 9 trillion ways to Sunday anyway....
