South Korea has always been a bit nuts...

There's always been a leftist element in society...but each generation gets more and more removed from the violence of the Communist aggression...and so these spoiled little lefties soft from the good life in the prosperous South think more liberalism and less concern for your hostile neighbor is a good thing...

I recall lots of student protests, marches and clashes back in my Navy days...

I blame both sides...opposing Uke support isn't on par with opposing defense from the North...the Prez could have capitulated on that to win elsewhere...but the leftists in the Assembly seem to relish being like petulant rebellious students too...

Sadly, peace and prosperity seems to have bred mostly stupidity so they're making themselves ripe for atrophy and conquest...

His own party is disavowing this, though.  It looks like he just got frustrated at gridlock and decided to yell out, "RUSSIA RUSSNORTH KOREA NORTH KOREA NORTH KOREA!"

A unanimous vote to end martial law in the legislature.  But the armed forces said nope, no can end without the President ending it.  Plus his family is corrupt.  Look for an impeachment to happen soon.

Many of these Asian places are barely democracies anyway and people do not care.

Xi serves as emperor and most Chinese are fine with that.

South Korea has always been politically odd to me...and the liberal drift I am certain has been aided by agitators from neighbors and I mean in particular the Chi-Com's who would like nothing better than to flip the rest of the peninsula...the people in the South appear content to be frogs in water as it nears boiling...

It could be that in the region Japan may end up being the last outpost of a free society in the far end of the Pacific Rim...

I would seriously look at getting ready to reassess our relations with this nation, get our people the frack out...and I would advise US citizens to avoid this country and possibly divest any holdings there!
