The DOJ’s investigation into Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) officially kicked off late last month with a letter of inquiry sent to Schumer by Interim D.C. U.S. attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr.
A copy of the full letter was circulating on social media Sunday afternoon.
As The Gateway Pundit recently reported, the Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Chuck Schumer for threatening Supreme Court justices during a pro-abortion rally back in 2020.
In what could be construed as a violent threat, Schumer shouted, "You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price." He continued, "You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."
Chief Justice John Roberts said in a rare public statement, “Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous.”
"At this time, I respectfully request that you clarify your comments from March 4, 2020. Your comments were at a private rally off the campus of the U.S. Capitol. You made them clearly and in a way that many found threatening," Martin's letter states.
Martin further highlights Schumer's exact words and warns him, "We take threats against public officials very seriously.
