I have no doubt people with means, even lefties as the comment above illustrates, are in prep mode.  Only a complete idiot thinks the road we are on (especially economically) is sustainable much longer.  What kills me is the virulent naysayers of prepping, they will be the first ones looting when it all goes sideways, and they'll rue the day they decided to live free and easy like the circus can go on forever.

"Preppers".  Ya have to laugh.  Many of us are simply picking up where our grandparents left off and dumping the forever-in-debt, crass materialism which is a relatively new societal development in this country.

The ignorant and the defiantly unprepared are going to get a lesson in "just in time" inventory control when grocery store stocks run low.

The wealthy are looking beyond this country for farmland; large tracts are being purchased all over the world and managers hired to keep up production, their ace-in-the-hole, similar to 10000 Lake's "Democrat donors".

According to Ann Barnhardt, George Soros has been snapping up existing grain silos, of the relatively few there are; new ones are not being built.
