Prosthetic limbs "may be an unfair advantage".

I agree. It seems no small leap of logic to me to conclude that at some point, technology will create artificial limbs that outperform natural human limbs.

I've predicted this exact controversy the moment I saw someone running with two artificial legs. The handicapped lobby has evolved into a liberal special interest just like any other advocacy group whose primary mission gives way to self-perpetuation. A Left that constantly seeks to undo every established practice for the sake of undermining tradition will be more than willing to advocate for an unfair advantage on the basis of "fairness" at the expense of ruining the dreams of those who work hard to accomplish success.

Where will the line be drawn? Servos? Hydraulics? Mechanical kinetic amplification? Full-on cyborgs? You can bet that as long as tradition and hard work can be attacked, the Left will be right there attacking.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

If we look at the logic in this we can clearly see the man without limbs has less blood to flow one and two he has less muscle to feed oxygen to so the oxygen can be dispersed to other muscle groups.

On the other hand, it's great to see these folks competing.
