So state law trumps city law?  Chicagoans will be able to carry?  I heard a guy on the radio say he'd like to see them adopt a mandatory AR15 carry law...send the criminals running...dream on but I get his gist...

Will have to see how this all gets sorted out...

These people don't get it.  The criminals are already armed and carrying, and not concealed, either.  You'd almost think they don't know that.  Almost.

Kinda disappointed I didn't see inaction and see what all this Wild West anything goes situation looked like...envisioning punks and bangers running for their lives as civilians armed with all manner of weapons hunted them down...

Well, it was a nice daydream anyway...

Chances are they'll eff this up...and can't wait to see what the denial rate is on permission slips...

It will take well over a year before there is any reduction in gun crime. And that is going to be due to the lag between the passage of the law and the time that lawful citizens begin to carry. The law's waiting times, fees and training times ensure that it will be a while. But eventually it will be open season on thugs.

The more prevalent that CC is the more the country will begin to resemble a roach motel (to continue the theme) for thugs. There won't be an adjoining room to flee to.

But a lot of states like mine have those moronic "this building bans guns" BS..like that will keep bad people from coming in and behaving badly...there needs to be repeal of such idiotic crap like this and restrictions like it or there will always be a places this scum will hang out.
