Apparently the totalitarian Leftists in Connecticut realize that rounding up and prosecuting approximately 1,000,000 gun owners for failing to comply with their registration demands for rifles and high capacity magazines is a non-starter. Those chilling photos of sheeple waiting in long "Hitler's Germany" registration lines we were treated to a couple weeks ago? Yeah, that was about... wait for it....
...4% of the numbers they expected. The citizens of Connecticut have told their government to f**k off and die.
Connecticut scrambles to consider amnesty for the 96% of citizens who failed to register their weapons according to new state law (http://bearingarms.com/connecticut-scrambles-for-amnesty-plan-after-realizing-that-citizens-are-refusing-to-register-their-assault-weapons-and-high-capacity-magazines/)

Great news.
Better news.....the 96% that didn't are on the march to the capitol to take back their government.

Amnesty...for not obeying an illegal law...
Only in Amerika...

You don't hear of that problem in the south. ;D

Here is hoping the "amnesty" is ignored by that 96%. Hopefully this unconstitutional law has been challenged in the courts already.

This isn't amnesty....This is an extended period of time to register. Total bullchit. You register your firearm, next thing you know the state makes them illegal and then they really know who you are. I'm sick and tired of this crap. If I lived there, every representative within phone distance would receive a call. It works because they are all *ussies and have zero backbone when actually confronted by a voter.
I had to do it here in my state over another overreach of state gov't. They back down. They did here. Both dem and pubbie. Their backbones are strong sitting up on some capital hill....but go see them.....*ussies.
Hell, maybe this will draw the first shot. Our precious state may not like what they find.

Vanderboegh over at Sipsey Street Irregulars has penned an open letter to Michael Lawlor, stooge of the CT governor and enthusiastic gun grabber who made the following statement:
"You can either surrender the weapon to us, destroy the weapon, or sell it to a federal firearms licensee. After that date (January 1) that hasn’t been declared or register is banned and if you get caught, you’re going to get arrested."
Vanderboegh's response:

It's really too long to repost in its entirety here, but a good read and everyone should check it out. He basically outs the guy as a likely KGB rat. No real surprise there, because it's no longer just humorous embellishment to link the Democrats with actual commies. This guy traveled to the Soviet Union as a college student. He also came out as gay in 2006, and Vanderboegh points out that his status as a closeted homosexual in the 70s and 80s, combined with his left wing ideology, made him an ideal target of the KGB.
The reason they're so particularly zealous when it comes to civilian disarmament is because they have dreams of running a Red Terror here, and guns in the hands of private citizens would be the single biggest obstacle to that.

Damn, that was fabulous, the conclusion is sweet!
And the teaser at the end - "As I said, we'll continue this conversation on the ramifications of your personal quest for tyrannical power in future letters. Have a nice day."
Ooohhhhh!!!! I soooooo want to talk about the ramifications!!!
