Title: R.I.P. Bullet

If these are as good as advertised...dang, I'm gonna need to get a shytload in a few different flavors!

G2R, the Windsor, Ga., company that created the Radically Invasive Projectile, or R.I.P., says the bullet is like a full metal jacket when it strikes and is designed “to take out all your vital organs.”

Love the name...and described purpose!   ::whoohoo::

Next up, government seizure and banning?  Get 'em fast, before they're gone!!!

I'm always highly skeptical of these exotic rounds. It could be the ultimate manstopper, but I'd sooner put money on it being another overpriced gimmick.  A round designed to deliberately fragment in such a way that it strikes multiple vital organs might indeed make it a very lethal bullet, but lethality and incapacitation are different things. I want something poking large holes in big blood vessels.

But I'm sure it's causing much hand-wringing among liberals, and that makes it hilarious.

Yeah, I wanna see evidence backup the talk first too, but that annoy a liberal factor is never gonna get old for me...(till they're all gone!   ::whoohoo::   )

It sure looked like it wreaked havoc on the ballistic jelly stuff. You're right though Glock - killing power is not the same as stopping power. If some zombie is within your 21ft zone, you can't wait for him to bleed out. You need stopping power.

I wonder. I'm definitely curious to learn more. They claim that the bullet remains intact until after penetration. I can see where that could create interesting results with the insides of a bad guy.

Here is a review of this stuff, using calibrated 10% ordnance gel.  Results are pretty much what I expected.

I know a lot of people use 9mm, something like this may perform better in .40 or .45 or 10mm, or .357 or .44 mag, so it would be neat to see how those results look.  But for 9mm I guess all we can say is "claim not backed up, try again".
