Not only did this judge strike down Virginia's constitutional ban, it also struck down any provision that would prohibit the state from recognizing same-sex marriages from other states. Remember everyone, the Left is not allowed to lose. They will always go to their back-up legislature, the unelected courts, to enforce their ideology.
What is more galling about this, the acts of the judge, or the fact that Virginia's own Attorney General and Governor were leading the charge? Quacked the state AG:
"The opinion comes after the attorney general said last month he would not defend the state’s voter-approved constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and that he would actively work to overturn the law."
Got that? The state's leading enforcer of the law decided he would not defend or enforce a law duly enacted by the legislature with the voters' endorsement. So remember that next time liberals whine about ObamaCare and "law of the land" or when they get apoplectic about county sheriffs who refuse to enforce gun laws.
"Judge Allen, who was appointed by President Obama in 2011, said the ban denies the plaintiffs in the case due process and equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution."
When marriage is said to be a legal union between a man and a woman, how is that denying anyone equal protection? None of these laws prohibit a homosexual from marrying someone of the opposite sex. They militate against the law because it is not defined in the manner they want. Relativism leads straight to nihilism.

U.S. District Court Judge Arenda L. Wright Allen.
Another lefty Obama appointment.

Shut up when we violate your individual rights - because majority rule, but when the majority doesn't agree with us, then we over rule the majority, because individual rights.
Because the left has no intellectual honesty and will not deal with others in good faith. Ever. They will say anything and do anything to get their way.
