It's impossible to know what portion of the arsenal slated for destruction — valued at $1.2 billion by the Pentagon — remains viable because the Defense Department's inventory systems can't share data effectively, according to a Government Accountability Office report obtained by USA TODAY.
The result: potential waste of unknown value.

Maybe I'm over paranoid,
but,
depleting our military of its ammunition,
while,
building up the stock pile of ammunition for all this regime's departments,
even the Post Office,
seems to me like he is disarming our military and arming our civilian agencies,
up to military levels.
I ask:
what could go wrong with this scenario?

What if they are only saying the ammo is being destroyed, only to divert it to people they know will follow their orders...like DHS etc?!

Given the variety of agencies which now have SWAT capability I'd be inclined to concede the point to you.
