Naturally the ultimate motive is for people to hand over their wealth and liberty, that's a given. I just have to pretend to be credulous for a moment and ask what, exactly, they propose be done in the span of 500 days to "avoid climate chaos".
Are we to shut down all the world's power plants? Get all the cars off the roads and planes out of the sky? Shut down all the world's factories? That's the thing, it's asinine on its face, this idea of a 500 day warning. Even if it were a certainty that we had 500 days to avoid climate chaos, there's literally nothing that could be done to stop it.
I am actually amused that they continue these over the top, alarmist panics. IMO their tone deafness on this is a big part of why they've been unable to sell their grand scheme despite the unending repetition. People seem to just intuitively know it's a fraud.

It gets funnier too my friend...who is always absent from these discussions of those who must experience all the attendent pain and suffering from shutting down the engines of the world? If you said China you win a free carbon credit! (Just kidding!) And what about their new butt-buddies, the Rooskies...get those two clowns front and center and watch how fast this stupidity gets shut down!
They only pick on the old democracies because only they are far enough down the road of cronyism and corruption to make stupid ideas like this flourish! The voting citizenry making especially fine fertilizer!
