I wonder if he uttered "Yo voy a ir a Tyson en su culo!" before dining on Italian?

Or maybe this guy is a zombie! ::exitstageleft::

Please tell me why the big deal over soccer?
I get the US team is doing well but still...

All part of that same mindset that says we have to be like the rest of the world, no matter if we like it or not...

That's the way I see it.
But I hear so many who should know that talking about it and not just talking about it WATCHING IT. Plus many corporations are using it for advertising that it's every where!
Twitter has a scoreboard on their cite. I saw a billboard the other day by a company promoting it.
Well, I guess if Rush is right and football goes down we can all watch soccer.
-
I had a decision to make.
Watch soccer or some paint dry.
I opted for the paint

Good choice AP...I hear they lost to the waffle-eaters...
-
I also watched some grass grow.
Much more exciting than "football"
-
We're talking "lawn", right? ;D
ETA - And...FYI - http://washingtonexaminer.com/poll-world-cup-a-liberals-game-just-30-of-nation-following-it/article/2550374 (http://washingtonexaminer.com/poll-world-cup-a-liberals-game-just-30-of-nation-following-it/article/2550374)

At my age, it is "lawn"
I use lawn loosely.
Weed patch is more apt.
(Not that kind!)
BTW, grass is a religious thing with me.
If God only wanted grass to be so high, he'd stop it there.
Right?
I violate His Will in so many ways but I draw the line there
-
I've got better things to do than watch a bunch of grass fairies.

Gone native, eh? In most (cough!) civilized places...the local clowns got ordinances on lawn height...not that they can tell native from crap...

I'm not sure which of us is living in the civilized place, Libertas, after reading about your neighbors.

Maybe I can get that angle working too... ::thinking::

My FIL (who's 82) loves to mow grass. I guess it's one of the last things he can still do at his age. I bought the lawn mower (zero turn), he buys the gas and does 90% of the mowing.
I had to buy an industrial strength mower (1/4" steel welded deck) so it'll stay together. He loves mowing, but seems to have trouble around a couple obstacles. One is which our air conditioner condenser. I'm going to have to build a fence around it before he knocks it into the street.

If we're going to be a lot more like the Euro's we're going to have to pick up our boozing...

I guess getting tanked all the time is one way to deaden the pain of rampant socialism...
Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer crushing enmeies than surrendering to them...
Bloody Euro's! ::mooning::
-
Watching soccer is like watching grass grow, just with soccer players in the way.
