The history channel recently did a show on this.
I only saw snippets but, it seems lots of people discovered America before Columbus.
I don't recall if they acknowledge the Muzzies, but even if they did, it's the history channel.
Home of pawn brokers, scroungers and dickerers.
Any "history" there is questionable at best.
