Apparently Jordan's King Abdullah - a fighter pilot - actually led an Air Force combat mission flying sorties against ISIS.

Just found out that King Abdullah was a trekkie and managed to weasel a cameo appearance as a starfleet science officer (With no lines) in an episode of Voyager. He was only the prince at that time.
