Chamberlain was a basically decent person who was guilty of being naive about the intentions of fascist Germany and Italy, and this would exact a heavy price on his country and the entire world. But I have little doubt that in his own mind, he was pursuing the path that would spare his country another war.

This...other one...however, his doings are specifically to weaken the position of this country, and they are motivated by a deep seated malice for the country, its history, and its people.
