This part bothers me -
A spokesman for the Twin Cities FBI office had no comment on the recent flight, saying he couldn’t speak to an “operational matter.” He declined to say if the plane belongs to the FBI or if it was acting at the request of a local law enforcement agency.
However, the FBI acknowledged its role in the earlier Baltimore flights. The agency issued a statement saying the flights “were not there to monitor lawfully protected first amendment activity, and any FBI aviation support to a local law enforcement agency must receive high-level approvals.”
The Minneapolis Police Department, the Bloomington Police Department and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office said they had no knowledge of the flight. Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie couldn’t confirm past flights, but the same plane was confirmed over the Twin Cities on Thursday.
First, what "First Amendment Activity"? Normally that should not garner special government observation, unless the government deems what is being said possess a threat to them. Which, even if it was a threat, if a threat other than advocating specific and immediate physical harm, it is none of their business.
Second, these damned things have a habit of showing up in places where the sh*t is about to hit the fan. I don't need this level of participation by the Feds in my backyard, fcvkyouverymuch!
Lastly, the local LEO's being cut totally out of this picture sends another disturbing Big Brother bullying episode that should concern just about everybody and yet not that many get riled up by it, which only ensures more apathy toward it and thus will engender more of it.
Eye's can get poked...jus' sayin'...

How many times have I heard this: If you're not doing anything illegal, you have nothing to worry about". ::pullhair::

The way crap is written now days and because unelected unaccountable bureaucrats are allowed to write rules and regulations that are accepted by steeple as if they are laws...everyone is guilty of something. To put it another way...why try to comply with anything? The lawmakers and rulemakers aren't held accountable so why should we be?

Surprise, surprise,,,,,, no not really.
Imagine what this all costs too.
The only amazing thing, its the AP doing the story.
And they released the names of the fake airplane companies even after the FBI asked them not too. Of course the FBI will now spend even more money setting up new fake companies.

Sometimes life in Kabukiland takes on an almost Monty Python meets Mel Brooks kind of dark comic surrealism, eh?
