So Canada has proven that vapid, airy platitudes will woo its voters just as easily as our voters here.  The Conservatives and Stephen Harper are out, Justin Trudeau's hairdo is in.

Man, the West is just beyond salvaging.  We've truly been undone by opponents who play Santa Claus with the public treasury.  How can you win against that in elections?  Man people are some dumbsh*ts.

I guess Canada couldn't stomach passing the US in every statistic that mattered.  I feel for you, Robin.  No doubt that Boy Trudeau will be every bit the clusterf(ail) that the old man was, and the old man set Canada back a full generation.

What a drag. It was encouraging to see a country culturally similar to the US come back from the brink of socialism on so many fronts. Now we'll see how quickly the Leftists undo the gains made. Alas.

Like Our Founders warned...once politicians seized on the idea of unlimited spending and the people were stupid enough to go along with it the end is written.

Best thing they can do now is whatever it takes to speed up the crash.

Strain and drain the damned system to the breaking point...start over once all the fires die out.

There's just no turning back once the public treasury has been turned into a vote buying tool.  How many people have the discipline and character to voluntarily choose austerity in an effort to right the ship?  Pretty much none.

The only way this ends for any of the countries doing it is for Santa Claus to so thoroughly debase the economy and so thoroughly corrupt the character of the population that the whole thing crashes.
