Now that I would label a major event...those two have had a testy relationship going back a long time...even before they both went Commie and Mao & Ho worked with us and the Brits against the Japs in WWII...
The fall of the Soviet Empire really porked North Korea and Vietnam more than any other nations in Asia...I would have said India but those poor dot-forhead folks still buying all their crappy old ships and stuff and have their own mostly thriving economy albeit their population at some point soon is going to overwhelm their capacity to manage...
