He held out a long time,  much longer then I ever thought he would.  The reality:  he is 84 years old (though it sure doesn't seem like it),  so no matter,  he was coming to the end of his run as sheriff just because of that.   He should have been getting a successor ready.     Now you just have a typical liberal in office.

Yup.  And that is a county that can go to complete shyt in a hurry under a mediocre (or worse) leader.

Oh well, another area to avoid like the plague...
