Actually the do die.

Andropov keeled over after fifteen months in office.

He was succeeded by Chernenko who only lasted thirteen months in office before he too croaked.

Those were the days.

Yeah, but Putin's relatively young and healthy so he will have to meet his fate some other way if he is to kick the bucket in the near term. Maybe one of his lieutenants will do him in...that's sort of a cultural tradition over there. Didn't Putin reportedly attempt to poison Yeltsin to death?

Maybe a Bear Wrestling stunt gone wrong ? That would be poetic justice .

I think there were rumors about poison in his hooch or something, nothing really ever came to light on that, or it could've been just Yeltsin coming off a near-fatal bender and blaming Vlad seemed a good idea at the time.

But I think his ego could be turned against him, not sure he's up toe bear wrestling, but I would think some challenge to his manhood could be made placing him in a vulnerable position to be snuffed.  I'd not shed one tear over such a demise, in fact I'd probably hoist some Stoli in celebration!

People opposing Vlad should not take anyting for granted, assume the worst and plan accordingly...don't let your guard down, ever!
