His wife, Katherine, is announcing this as I type.
I am heart-broken. There was NO perspective quite like his.
Goodness gracious: Lord let him rest in peace.

Yeah, I figured it was close cause he said as much...still...the news is heartbreaking...
R.I.P. Rush, you will be missed by millions, but your impact on people's lives is forever. ::USA::

I heard her, a very, very sad day

And I can already feel my blood rising for the inevitable immoral Marxist hatred about to be inflicted upon us all...

::praying::
Sick to my stomach.

I will avoid "The Five" and Juan tonight to save my TV from a bullet

I hear ya...
And actually I've been avoiding most everything...still...news gets out of bad people saying and doing bad things...

Sick to my stomach.
That's how I felt as the program opened. The announcer, who has been of late announcing the guest host, said "Please welcome Katherine Limbaugh" -- and I froze in front of the radio, thinking: "Katherine never comes on -- this isn't gonna' be good...".

Rush had taken several days off at a time this past year, to cope with the side effects of the chemo it was said. I expected him not to come back from the last hiatus and yet he did, the week before last, and he was on all week. So, I kind of expected to hear today's announcement every time he was out, yet it still came as a punch to the gut.
RIP, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III.

I have been braced for it - but it still comes as a shock. The world I have known has changed so radically - and so quickly that at times it is difficult to accept. Like the Dimwit In Chief says, “I wake up every morning and say ‘where the hell are we?’”.
You were a great inspiration, a great source of information, and a great comfort Rush.
You will be missed.

The Indispensable Man
Rush Limbaugh, 1951-2021
by Mark Steyn
I am well aware of the ironies of the headline. My father liked to caution me with the old saw that the graveyard is full of indispensable men. But, as the conventional bias of the legacy media yielded to something far more severe from the woke billionaires of Social Media, Rush remained the Big Voice on the Right, the largest obstacle to the complete marginalization of conservative ideas in our culture. All of us who labored in his shadows owe it to him to continue the fight.
To modify Rush's tag line: Talent returned to God.

Great closing remarks, read it all, very good...and brought back memories I know I will never forget. His self-taught knowledge, his passion, his humor and his innate ability to know how to connect with everyday people of all backgrounds. He was an anchor that never moved no matter the weather, he was "there" and we were with him. He was family.

"Propagandist" - "The marketplace will decide" Ha! It did, repeatedly and for decades! Which is why the Marxists are all-in on anti-capitalist and anti-free speech and totally anti-Bill of Rights!
Can't do a hit-piece on a happy warrior armed to the teeth before a floundering enemy unable to hold an intellectual or moral core.
He single-handedly turned a backwater medium and turned it into a colossal empire for truth, justice and the American way. I still have some of his ties, stacks of his newsletters. He re-engaged me at a time when I thought of nothing but folding up my tent.
Literally, a brother has passed on.
Borrowing the words of another great man to describe the legacy of another great man seems fitting -

Most of the tweets are good, but, man, do some people ever need a beatin' because they are mean and vicious.

I was driving for work when I heard the news at the same time as everybody else... hearing Kathryn’s voice speak of Rush’s passing... so much tenderness, pain, sorrow, and love in her voice and message. I wept. Didn’t just tear up... I was sobbing, alone in my work van in the middle of nowhere between Bemidji and Fargo. I had been anticipating Rush’s death ever since he began speaking of his illness being terminal. But my reaction to his actual death took me by complete surprise. He was the indispensable man. I think our country had a slim-to-none chance of survival WITH Rush’s voice constantly reminding us of what we are fighting for, why it’s important, and how to fight. Now I have even less hope. But I won’t despair.

I know...
But, El Rushbo would have wanted everybody to step up their efforts in the defense of Liberty.
