Stabbed North in the back & let DemCom win, one of the RINO's who helped DemCom's defeat Judge Bork and turn his good name into a verb, voted not to impeach the adjudicated liar Bill Clinton on the perjury charge (splitting with the obstruction vote like all the other Quislings did!) and was a charter Trump-hater who endorsed Hitlery Clinton...

For Marxists who like mavericks who hose the party they supposedly belong to, of course they're Icon's...it's an ego-stoking bit of kitman they well know translates for their travelers as "useful idiot"...

He was a big time contributor to Nixon's campaign, and was made Under Secretary of the Navy, then SecNav when Chaffee departed.
He made a few unguarded comments while SecNav.  When Nixon was questioned by the press about his comments, Nixon responded:
"It just goes to show you it doesn't take a lot of smarts to be SecNav"
