Michael Hudson is a fascinating guy. He spent time in Mpls when younger. His dad was arrested for sedition under the Smith Act for leading the Mpls general strike. He is Leon Trotsky's god son!

He self describes as a classical economist. I have read several of his books. It took some time to sink in. IMO he is right about everything. His use of the words socialism rub be the wrong way.
Michael Hudson talks about China resisting US efforts to make it a financialized rent seeking parasitical economy rather than a productive economy.

China does not allow a non citizen to buy even a house.
