It's the pseudo-estrogens; soy, for one. And those on a municipal water supply are drinking other people's antibiotic and birth control pill residues, which are not removed at the water treatment plants.
I recently had a guest accept a glass of water from my tap -- well water -- and she drank none of it, despite asking if we drank our water, which we do.
