Recent months have seen the number of tremors and strength in them increase...no surprise to see Mauna Loa start belching magma...

Make note of their statement of no vents elsewhere...the island may have different named calderas and the lower east rift zone...but it won't be a surprise to see one leaking and then another...I believe there is one giant magma chamber feeding them all, they just have their different feeder tributaries...and magma like any hydraulic process will follow a path of least resistance...

There is a Humboldt Fault...more importantly it is the southern end of the Cascadia Subduction Zone...

...and Dutch Sinse has documented how material quakes in the ocean off the coast and especially in the Juan de Fuca plate have been suppressed...years ago they simply just dropped off...along with the PNSC dropping a lot of inland reporting in WA & OR...leaving only the slow-slip tremors being reported, mostly, sometimes they go dark for a day or two...
...then something significant like this pops up seemingly out of nowhere...
