"Designed by clowns...supervised by monkeys"

John Barnett, a former veteran Boeing employee of 32 years, passed away from a self-inflicted wound on March 9, as confirmed by the Charleston County coroner, according to BBC which broke the news on Monday evening.

Bartnett's lawyer said that he was found dead in a truck near a hotel parking lot in South Carolina from an alleged "self-inflicted' wound", with  Breaking 911 calling it a 'gunshot' wound and BBC, the Gateway Pundit and numerous other sources referring to it as a 'self-inflicted' wound.

He claimed the push for speed compromised safety, with sub-standard parts being used and a significant failure rate in emergency oxygen systems. Despite raising these issues, he felt his concerns were disregarded, leading to legal action against Boeing, alleging career damage due to his whistleblowing.

BBC wrote:

He said in some cases, sub-standard parts had even been removed from scrap bins and fitted to planes that were being built to prevent delays on the production line.

He also claimed that tests on emergency oxygen systems due to be fitted to the 787 showed a failure rate of 25%, meaning that one in four could fail to deploy in a real-life emergency.

Boeing has denied his allegations, but the Federal Aviation Administration upheld some of Barnett's safety concerns in 2017. At the time of his passing, Barnett was engaged in legal proceedings related to his claims.

The FAA said last week it found "multiple instances where the company allegedly failed to comply with manufacturing quality control requirements".

"This is not a 737 problem, this is a Boeing problem," he said during a recent interview he took with TMZ, speaking out about his concerns with Boeing airplanes. "Back in 2012, Boeing started removing inspection operations off their jobs," he continued: "My concern is with the 737 and the 787," he said. "Because those programs have really embraced the theory that quality if overhead and non value added."
.
.
.
The news comes the same day Al Jazeera posted a video showing a walkthrough of the Boeing plant in South Carolina. There, when asking the employees if they would fly in the jets they are assembling, numerous employees said they would not.

"Many employees are addicted to drugs and no one cares," the reporter wrote.

🇺🇸🚨?? Boeing investigated by Al Jazeera!

An Al Jazeera reporter armed himself with a hidden camera and visited a Boeing plant in South Carolina. I visited the department where “B-787 dreamliners” are assembled.

The journalist asked the employees whether they were ready to fly on the planes they were assembling themselves? Of the 15 respondents, 10 said they were not ready. In the same material, plant workers said that management turns a blind eye to 90% of production problems.

Many employees are addicted to drugs and no one cares. In general, have a nice flight

Wow, Boeing just pulled a Pelosi - Boeing "Overwrote" Camera Footage Of Work On MAX Jet Door That Blew Out, Can Not Identify Employee Who Worked On It

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/congressman-sold-boeing-stock-hours-doj-probe-was-announced (https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/congressman-sold-boeing-stock-hours-doj-probe-was-announced)

It gets crazier: in her letter, NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said she directly appealed to Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun for information on who worked on the faulty door plug, expressing frustration over Boeing's claim of missing records and security footage. Even then, Boeing merely stonewalled and said it was "unable to provide that information and maintained that Boeing has no records of the work being performed."

Meanwhile, what would a catastrophe in a company near and dear to the government - and of course, the deep state - be without questionable trading surrounding the incident in Congress? In filings reported on Wednesday, it was revealed that Congressman William R. Keating sold somewhere between $1,001 and $15,000 worth of Boeing shares on February 28.

A serious outfit with a serious board would sack leadership, especially of the woke/useless variety, knock off any/all socialist engineering BS...get back to incentivizing merit and success...common sense stuff we used to do...

But, part of the problem is the deadheads on the board itself...how many have backgrounds ill suited for directing an aerospace company?  How many are tokens of one form or another?

Perhaps the economic hits have to be serious enough to spur action...sacking a CEO and replacing a few folks is not going to cut it...this outfit is in need of a big shake up.

I wonder how many of these are maintenance failures caused by others.

If an aircraft has been in revenue service for more than 6 months and one of these "anomalies" occurs, there is a 95% chance it was the airlines service techs fault.

Good grief!

Overnight, DailyMail reported that yet another fleet of Boeing jets has a potentially disastrous flaw. The 777, commonly called the Triple Seven, has poor electrical insulation near its fuel tank that can cause "fire or explosion."

Back in March, the Federal Aviation Administration raised concerns about the 777's safety and set a deadline of May 9 for Boeing and third-party experts to respond. However, it's still unclear whether the company has taken any action, as reported by DailyMail.

"This condition, if not addressed, could result in an ignition source inside the fuel tank and subsequent fire or explosion," the Airworthiness Directives note states.

The FAA noted the safety fix includes "installing electrical bonding and grounding" to prevent short-circuiting "electrostatic discharge to the surrounding structure" around the air intake system near the 777's center-wing fuel tanks. The projected cost to fix the 292 vulnerable wide-body planes is around $700k.

Korean Air Flight 189 left Seoul on Saturday but suffered a major problem mid-air that left 17 people injured. According to flight tracker data, the plane dropped 25,000 feet and flew in circles several times before diverting back to Seoul. The unexpected situation occurred after the flight reached the southern tip of the Korean peninsula and was en route to Taichung, Taiwan. The data revealed that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 made a sudden steep descent of about 4.75 miles, injuring 17 of its 125 passengers when its pressurization system failed.

It just gets worse for Boeing...

New documents released Thursday reveal that 'confusion and chaos' reigned in the company's Renton factory that built two 737 MAX planes that later crashed, killing 346 people in 2018 and 2019, the Seattle Times reports.

According to a prominent whistleblower Ed Pierson, production issues from back then still affect MAX planes flying today. The new documents reveal multiple electrical issues that were discovered as Boeing assembled the Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed in 2019.

The Times notes that in 2018, the FAA found that employees in another Boeing facility in Everett, WA - where electrical components for integration - had been pushed to move to fast, and produced defective pieces.
.
.
.
Communications between Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines show the plane that later crashed experienced an in-flight safety incident months before the fatal accident. Boeing told the airline that the December 2018 incident was likely the result of an electrical error, the records show.

The whistleblower, Pierson, said the records and the earlier safety incident bolster his view that the deadly crash of the Ethiopian jet may have been initiated by an electrical problem. That problem traces back to production issues with electrical wire bundles that Pierson has highlighted.
.
.
.
Boeing's communication with the airline at the time indicated that the uncommanded roll was likely caused by an electrical fault. The company advised Ethiopian Airlines to inspect the plane's wiring for issues, raising questions about the broader electrical integrity of the 737 MAX fleet.

Further complicating matters, the Foundation for Aviation Safety released a copy of Boeing's Shipside Action Tracker from the 2018 production of the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines plane. This internal database, used by Boeing to document and resolve issues during aircraft assembly, revealed a series of misinstalled and mislabeled electrical components. The records also pointed to significant miscommunication among Boeing employees regarding the work performed on the aircraft.

In a separate but related matter, a 2018 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigation into Boeing’s Electrical Systems Responsibility Center in Everett, Washington, uncovered additional issues - which include Boeing management having imposed stringent time limits on employees, potentially leading to defective parts passing through the electrical center without proper inspection. Notably, the report highlighted that some parts had only one minute allocated for pre-inspection.

The investigation also criticized Boeing's "rework" process—where components are disassembled and fixed before being reassembled—pointing out that this critical step was not always verified by quality assurance teams.

The new report reinforces the confusion and disarray reported at Boeing's Renton factory following a separate incident in January - in which workers failed to secure a panel properly after removing it for repairs, leading to the panel blowing off a 737 MAX mid-flight at 16,000 feet. Boeing later admitted that it had no documented record of the work and rework performed on the panel.

But, demonazis and woke corporatists would have you believe the real threat is the whistleblowers...obviously they must all be racists, sexists, yadda yadda yadda...

Boeing worker Charles Fromong told Bloomberg:"The strike is just a byproduct of Boeing not paying people what they are worth."

Heh, problem is Boeing's own net worth is going in the toilet and they are about to get squeezed even harder while the union tries to get blood out of stone...

Might as well just agree to whatever they want...they aren't going to collect on all of it anyway, at least a lot won't!

Family of deceased whistleblower sues Boeing...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/family-dead-boeing-whistleblower-sues-over-suicide (https://www.zerohedge.com/political/family-dead-boeing-whistleblower-sues-over-suicide)

I would expect a quick and hefty settlement offer to make all this go away.

They are hoping the NGAD award over Lockheed-Martin can help turns things around...but their military division is separate from the commercial division...so bifurcation will continue to exist.

Interesting that the new F47 beat out the skunkworks...and Northrop-Grumman bowed out (has the B21 Spirit and is focusing on Navy next-gen fighter F/A-XX program)...and Boeing also benefitting from absorbing McDonnell Douglas (of F-15 & F/A-18 fame etc)...

It will be interesting to see what the drone swarm coordination looks like in action...
