Wow, how did anybody with a weapon of any kind get anywhere near Trump? POS Obama had golf courses on lockdown and everything searched when he goes golfing, obviously the Biden-Harris led DHS and USSS are as politically biased in protection details as they are in their weaponized persecutions of political enemies...especially Trump!

"Nothing Will Slow Me Down" - Trump Reacts After Second Assassination Attempt
Summary:
Shots were exchanged between a shooter and Secret Service at Trump International Gold Club as the former President played.
Trump was 300-500 yards away when the shooting occurred.
FBI confirmed they are investigating this as an assassination attempt.
Trump said after: "nothing will slow me down, I will never surrender."
The shooter has been detained.
An AK-47, backpack, and GoPro camera was recovered near the scene.
The shooter has been identified as Ryan Routh, whose social media suggest was a Trump-hating, Ukraine-war-supporting liberal.
Trump was NOT given complete perimeter protection, because he is not a sitting president (despite being hit by an assassin's bullet a couple of months ago)
Update (1615ET): The FBI issued a statement :
“The FBI has responded to West Palm Beach Florida and is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump.”
Another official commented that Trump was "probably 300-500 yards" from the alleged shooter.
The former president has issued a statement confirming he is "safe and well" and declaring "nothing will slow me down"...
AP reports that the alleged shooter fled in an SUV and was later apprehended in a nearby county by local law enforcement, the officials said. The officials were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity about an ongoing investigation.
An AK-style firearm was recovered at the scene near Trump’s golf course, one of the officials and a third law enforcement official said.
The golf course was partially shut down for Trump as he played, and agents were a few holes ahead of him when they noticed the person with the firearm, the officials said.
The person appeared to push the muzzle of the rifle through the fence line and that’s when agents fired, the officials said.
CNN reported that police have recovered a backpack and a GoPro camera.
They think the attempted Trump shooter wanted to film it.

From Carolina Roofer To Ukraine Activist: Would-Be Trump Assassin Ryan Routh Gave Many Interviews With MSM
Fox News confirmed earlier that the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh.
Using public records, Routh appears to be from Greensboro, North Carolina (some reports say he now lives in Hawaii) and was or still is part owner of United Roofing and Construction Inc.
On Yelp, one negative review for "United Roofing" in late 2016 said:
"As a military member trying to buy a home before returning from a deployment, the proprietor, Ryan Routh, insulted me for trying to buy a house site unseen as many military members do returning from overseas."

The New York Times article backs up the Russian Defense Ministry's information regarding the countries which are actively trying to recruit mercenaries to join the fight in Ukraine. It wrote about Ryan Routh, a former construction worker from North Carolina who spent several months in Ukraine last year and is now seeking recruits among Afghan soldiers who fled the Taliban. He plans to move them to Ukraine from Pakistan and Iran – in some cases, illegally. Nevertheless, dozens of people have apparently expressed an interest.

The man behind the wall of banners, Ryan Routh, told CNA that he posted the flags to pay tribute to the nations that have citizens fighting in Ukraine's foreign legion, the International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine. Routh said there have been no protests about the presence of the Taiwan flag so far, but even if China is dissatisfied, "I can order another 1,000, they can't touch my flags."
Routh, 56, originally hails from Hawaii, but most recently worked in the construction industry in North Carolina and has no military background. He came to Kyiv more than two months ago to show his support for Ukraine and wanted to join the foreign legion.
However, due to his age, he was unable to do so, and he is instead currently assisting the legion in recruiting volunteers for the Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie units in Kharkiv. Thus far, Routh has assisted in recruiting 70 volunteers to join the fight against Russia.
Routh began posting flags on the wall of a sandbagged monument in Kyiv's Independence Square. He told the news agency that he included Taiwan's flag because he had met at least five Taiwanese volunteers serving in the legion over the past two months and learned about Taiwan's contribution to Ukraine's war effort.
According to Routh, he has yet to receive any protests from China about the presence of the Taiwan flag. He said that any pressure that would come from China would be "nothing" compared to the daily assault by Russian forces on every soldier who supports Ukraine.
He said that he will continue to stay in Kyiv and encourage more people to fight against Russia. European countries deliver truckloads of food, medical supplies, and military equipment, but Ukraine may need three to four times more support, estimated Routh.
The volunteer pointed out that there are only 50 national flags on the stone wall, meaning that there are over 100 countries that do not have a single soldier that has volunteered to fight for Ukraine, "This is unacceptable." He emphasized the war between Russia and Ukraine is a battle of good versus evil.
Routh asserted that at this critical moment, all countries should give their soldiers unpaid leave and provide air tickets to fly to Ukraine to participate in the war to prevent Russia from starting another war. "We should be united and share success and failure, which is what these flags stand for," said Routh.

I think BCE has nailed this guy and what this is about.
First, on that sketchy photo by the fence of this guy's gear...I think he properly identifies the weapon as a Century Arms Romanian SKS Model 1956 7.62x39mm with a 20 round magazine. We'll see if any additional info we get confirms that, but his guess looks solid to me.
Second, this was never meant to succeed...but to inspire more attacks...and it sure seems solidly backed up by the incendiary rhetoric of the Left towards Trump is not abating but growing worse!

Things WE Know About The “Shooter”:
1) He’s a known hardcore Pro-Krainian NGO financed ‘recruiter’ and ‘activist’. Most of the NGOs he’s associated with are CIA ‘fronts’. His activity included trying to illegally recruit Afghanis and Pakistanis to fight in the Krain against the Russians.
2) He’s a convicted felon “..with a long record.” A record that seems to have been scrubbed so what he did, against who, or for whom has been a big question.
3) His social media was scrubbed, but not before the Autists got ahold of it. It shows a 58 year old crazy haired lunatic by all rights, someone who looks perfectly at home being the local nut-job.
4) He apparently has ZERO DotMil experience however made several trips to the Kraine, ostensibly ‘to help’.
5) He was initially (per usual and the playbook) referred to as a “Trump Supporter” until it was shown he’s made more than a few donations to hard left groups like “Act Blue” and the like. Then his politics have been also per usual, ignored.
Now… the question is
Why did they hit him with so few and such paltry charges?

DOJ Releases Letter Penned by Second Trump Assassin, Promising $150,000 to Anyone Who Could "Finish the Job" by Killing Trump

The Department of Justice is facing backlash for releasing what critics call a "hit" on former President Donald Trump, after releasing a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh, who attempted to assassinate the former president and offered $150,000 to anyone who could "finish the job." Lawmakers and commentators have slammed the DOJ, warning that the release could inspire copycat attacks and increase the threat to Trump.
Key Details:
On Monday, the DOJ made the letter public as part of a court filing to justify keeping Routh in custody on federal gun charges. The letter, addressed to "the world," read, "This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you... It is up to you now to finish the job."
Routh was arrested on September 15th after a failed attempt to assassinate Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course. Secret Service agents fired on Routh after spotting him with a rifle, but he fled in a black SUV before being arrested.

We are the non-pretending audience that doesn’t need to have the points of continual similarity pointed out. However, there is something rather remarkable about those in Washington DC who never seem to be able to connect the same proverbial dots.
In the latest development of attempted President Trump assassin Ryan Routh, the Dept of Homeland Security and FBI are now admitting that Routh was on a watch list of Americans who traveled to fight with Ukraine. The people on the watch list were supposed to be scrutinized and tracked when they reentered the USA. However, Ryan Routh, “fell through the cracks,” thereby giving him space and opportunity to carry out his long-planned assassination attempt against President Trump.
The revelation itself is not a surprise. There is a consistent pattern of names registered with the FBI as potential threats to the homeland who “fall through the cracks,” including the Tsarnaev brothers (Boston Marathon), Tashfeen Malik (San Bernardino terrorists) and Omar Mateen (Pulse nightclub). It is always the crack fallers who seemingly end up carrying out their endeavors.
It’s likely the only reason DHS and the FBI are admitting to the almost fatal “mistake,” is because there is a document trail for Ryan Routh which will come to light as an outcome of DC’s “assassination review task force.” After all, Ryan Routh met with “someone” in Washington DC, when he was there advocating for intervention.
Someone was likely to discover that Routh was on a list of people supposed to be monitored, so DHS/FBI release the information to cloud any non-pretending suspicion upon them.

But Ryan Routh, the suspect who investigators say could have been waiting for the former president with a semi-automatic rifle for more than 11 hours near Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, fell through the cracks.
One DHS official reportedly knew Routh traveled to Ukraine, though there’s no indication that the FBI ever investigated him upon his return and during his years-long and at times bombastic campaign to drum up support for Kyiv. It’s also unclear if federal law enforcement was aware he wrote a self-published book that appeared to call for Trump’s assassination. As you take off your shoes and undergo extensive scrutiny as a result of the Patriot Act, the subsequently formed DHS and the TSA, it’s worth remembering, as initially sold, the creation of the DHS was specifically intended to stop domestic terror threats, ie. EXACTLY the activity that Ryan Routh was engaged in.
The justification to create the DHS and subsequent intrusive activity of the United States security apparatus, was to stop unstable and sketchy people from carrying out violence internally within the homeland. However, as many voices warned at the time, the mission of the agencies created by The Patriot Act, actualized with DHS and FBI conducting surveillance of parents at school board meetings, monitoring white men in the U.S. military, tracking pastors, preachers and Christian congregations, and registering law-abiding gun owners while the sketchy and unstable simply run amok.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon — a Trump appointee — was randomly assigned the attempted assassination case Tuesday after a grand jury in Miami returned a five-count indictment against Ryan Routh in connection with the Sept. 15 incident at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The indictment charges Routh with attempted assassination of a presidential candidate, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime and assault on a federal officer, as well as two charges he already faced: being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

For the defense, does he have moron(s) for counsel requiring a lot of oversight by the Judge or will he have competent team able to call into question any state complicity in the defendants path from unknown to Ukrainian mercenary to would-be assassin?
For the prosecution will there be attempts to hide, quash or conveniently forget about or lose discovery evidence? They may desire a short quick limited evidence conviction...not sure the judge will go along with that. Will there be an attempt to change venue or press a recusal that makes no sense?

According to Jesse Watters, citing Trump Assassination Task Force’s report, a Secret Service agent confronted would-be assassin Ryan Routh, who was hiding in the bushes outside Trump’s golf course.
Incredibly, the agent, standing just five feet away, fired not once but six times—and missed every single shot. Six shots, all missed.
“How does a trained agent who passed the firearms test miss a target 5 feet away?” Watters asked during his broadcast.
Even more troubling, the report reveals that the Secret Service was alerted at 2:30 a.m. that Trump would be golfing later that day. Despite this, they failed to secure the course, allowing Routh to camp out undetected for 12 hours.
According to the Justice Department, law enforcement used database checks from T-Mobile that indicated Routh’s phone was located at the tree line outside from 1:59 am to 1:31 pm on Sunday.
The Secret Service reportedly boosted Trump’s security after the Butler assassination attempt, so why didn’t they secure the perimeter of the golf course before Trump played golf?

A letter to “The World” was found in his possession, allegedly explaining his reasons for seeking to kill the president.
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job,” the note states.
