Has been there all along, since the advent of the modern banking...

Now I have no problem with maximizing profits and controlling expenses as best as possible...but some, shall we say more predatory entities, take it to another level...

I have no problem with PE per se, it comes down to the partners...

Acquisitions back in the mid-80's thru 90's would get bloody...outfits like KKR would buy struggling outfits for pennies on the dollar and slice things up and liquidate assets and just harvest cash or lean them down make them profitable and sell for a profit...

Per se there is a role for such just as there is a need for crows and surrogate parents in the animal kingdom...

What I see as an even bigger threat than PE is the mega-holding co's...she gets into that deeper into this vid - BlackRock owns by far a sh*t-ton more than anybody else, the consolidation of companies under one roof is the real nefarious element...why anti-trust doesn't apply to them needs to be looked into, because obviously they must have a sh*t-ton of dirt on politicians and bureaucrats and courts to avoid any scrutiny...
