I watched the series in 2015-2018 led by former CIA agent Bob Baer, Bob spoke like 6 languages and operated in a slew of European and Middle East and Asian areas, had former military, IC and investigator types assisting...I liked it, they did come up with a lot of documents and evidence that many high-profile Germans fled to parts of South America, some witnesses claiming to have personally seen Hitler and Borman alive (the later having a grave in Chile and his remains moved the Germany with the red soil found with his remains in Germany matching the red soil form Chile) but are reported third person...but it was clear there was a heavy Nazi presence in South America, the many rat lines they follow out of Berlin, the Nazi compound in Misiones, Argentina, and that town in Chile, Colonia Dignidad, is spooky and German as all heck and a retired FBI agent said all of the evidence would warrant re-opening the case...but alas, no smoking gun re: Hitler. But that doesn't mean Hitler and others didn't escape, it means more investigation needs to happen to prove what really happened. After all, the tests on the Soviet's "skull" in their possession IIRC was that of a woman, not a man, and younger than Hitler too I think. No DNA evidence at all he perished in Berlin.

Of course some "historians" denounced the series as nothing but an elaborate conspiracy theory. Well, that's nice, I always giggle when people want you to prove your point when they have no proof of theirs other than "prevailing opinion". Oh, like the Warren Commission being "prevailing opinion", eh? LOL!
We know Klaus Barbie, Adolph Eichmann, Joseph Mengele, Walter Rauf and a host of others fled to South America...so the various ratlines seem vetted.
I am making this thread not to discuss the Baer investigation per se, just using it to lead into this I saw today...about Milei releasing Argentina's files on Hitler...

Well, an analysis substituting an investigation isn't convincing either! After all, their analysis is merely their opinion.
I would like to see more investigation, perhaps the Argenitinian files will spur some of that.
While watching the Baer series my blood boiled at the thought of Hitler and any Nazi surviving the war's end one second. I would like to know what really happened, don't know if I will learn it in the time I have left, but like this and JFK and all of it, be nice to get there soon. It happens or it doesn't, let's find out.

It's so muddled, Soviets saying we think he's dead, dental records...blah blah...but leaving possibility open they've been duped...Stalin saying he (at the time of the Potsdam Conference) was in either Spain or Argentina and they cannot find conclusive proof he perished at the Chancellery...

It will be interesting to see what Milei gets released...and I hope there are good English translations!
