Well I was raised a Catholic. Drug to mass my grandmother(she went every day) eventually became an alter boy. Never understood a word that was said. So we put up with the gooses and drank his wine. Fast forward and I come back from VietNam with future wife in tow(after many hours in frisco alone) and he will not marry us. Called her a heathen---she's a re head from Raytown Mo. So now because of that she's JW and I don't care anymore.

I don't think there is another young John Paul ii type waiting in the wings. And even if there was, he has little chance of being elected. They could elect someone pretty good from a number of conservatives bishops and cardinals from Africa and they won't do that either. Probably another Jesuit.
I think the best we can hope for they pick another elderly sickly liberal that won't be in office long. Though Francis, who wasn't young and far from healthy had been in office since 2013, so even someone old could still be there over a decade. So even that isn't great.
Francis has been a disaster. Not just at the world level, but many local areas too. In the Chicago area for example, a good cardinal died and was replaced by a liberal.
The worst outcome could be a young liberal. He could be there a very long time, as long as John Paul II.

Yeah...it's sad. I had the utmost respect for JPII , he was a good man and didn't cave to liberals looking to legitimize apostasy...
How many souls misguided by corrupted leaders? That is the unforgivable part...if there is any forgiveness for such it will have to come from Our Lord!

For me, not at all, I am not Catholic. But my two brothers are, and neither are leftists nor want their church denomination to be another left wing organization.
Even if they weren't there I don't like seeing yet another church denomination get hijacked by the left. They will bleed it dry like every other organization they take over.

As an evangelical Christian, not only does a "Pope" (never mentioned in the Bible) have zero influence over my life, but I refer to the title as "the Vicar of Hell", as most of them lead the flock astray.

Indirectly, the lunacy of others does have societal impacts, and apostasy enables deviancy by lending it institutional approval...so no, not directly influencing how I live my life, but it does raise problems for all that will manifest before you sooner or later...
So yes, calling out Evil when I see it will continue...
