We ARE getting old. Holy schnikies. Rest in peace. You brought me moments of joy in childhood.

I have had a "best of" collection of The Monkees in my mp3's for many years. He wasn't my favorite singer (Mickey Dolenz is classic) but he was okay. I don't know anything about his personal life but I never heard anything bad. So, sorry to hear this news. I guess we'll be hearing Daydream Believer for a while.
RIP Mr. Jones

Marcia in a short skirt still gives me tingles but now they're edged with old-guy guilt ::facepalm::

Another part of our youth gone but not forgotten.(they did have a cool car)

I thought their show was funny when it was on. My SIL was a HUGE fan, saw them at the Minnesota State Fair...must have been early mid-90's.
RIP Davy.
