Title: I'll be gone for a while.
Post by: John Florida on April 05, 2012, 08:24:41 PM: I'll be going to Connecticut on Sat and be gone about a week. My uncle died today and the only reason I'm going is that he's married to my favorite aunt and my mother would never forgive me if I didn't show up.

Post by: John Florida on April 12, 2012, 03:42:05 PM: We got back in the house around 2.30 today to find out about pan and went to work on that first. As for my trip it's self it was fine. The problems started when I got there to find that my mother's new knee had a couple of spots oozing puss and that she had not wanted to call the M.D. about it because she had an appointment on the 17th.

Well that wasn't going to work so I called the doctor and got her into the office to find out that they wanted her in the hospital that day. She went in and went into surgery the next morning which meant I was going to miss the wake(my wife and daughter were there to represent the family) and managed to go to the funeral and leave when that was over to go back to the hospital to make sure she was OK.

So far it seems to be OK and she got home today and we'll see how that goes.So I went for a funeral and spent a day and a half at the hospital to turn around and drive 1400 miles home.
