Breaking: Federal appeals court strikes down DOMA (http://hotair.com/archives/2012/05/31/breaking-federal-appeals-court-strikes-down-doma/)
An appeals court ruled Thursday that a law that denies a host of federal benefits to gay married couples is unconstitutional.
The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston said the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman, discriminates against gay couples.
The law was passed in 1996 at a time when it appeared Hawaii would legalize gay marriage. Since then, many states have instituted their own bans on gay marriage, while eight states have approved it, led by Massachusetts in 2004.

On to the Supreme's...where once again 236 years of history and tradition will get flushed down the toilet or not...based upon what that Kennedy clown thinks...
Oh hell, we're well on the path to revolution, what's one more transgression?!
-
But what if those federal benefits themselves are unconstitutional?
-
Then you'll have all the heterosexual married couples receiving unconstitutional federal benefits mad at you for trying to take theirs away as well.

Damned skippy it does, and rightly so, because if they're of the same sex, it's not marriage.
And, now, there's another Baptist preacher, in Kansas this time, saying the government should kill gay people. I don't know if he's a lunatic or a satirist, but if he's serious, THIS IS NOT HELPING.

A preacher in WV recently died after being bitten by a rattlesnake in one of their snakehandling events. Yeah, stuff like this does not help. But these are all independent congregations, anyone can say they're a church and promote whatever. I'm sure there are agent saboteurs doing exactly that, too. The one in Maiden, NC just sounded like every stereotype, with the pronunciation and all. I'm from NC and I've never heard anyone speak like that
