Title: Change in fiat $1 - who cares?

Still based on BS, right?

Still not worth what it is made with, right?

Still being hammered by Fed/Treas debasement and inflation, right?

Still controlled by a corrupt kleptocracy, right?

Once the fire has done its duty, we can all put it out with some recycled beer.

You're jumping the gun.  Once the pyre has died down, put an Owebama bobblehead in the ashes, then let loose with the recycled racist beer.

/Piss (On) Owebama.

This may be one of the reasons why:

Quote
In the past five years, the U.S. Mint has produced 2.4 billion Presidential $1 coins. Most are stored by the Federal Reserve, and production was suspended about a year ago.

And we're paying to store all those coins that nobody wants.

So, if production was suspended "about" a year ago, what's up widdis ..

Quote
Equipment would have to be bought or overhauled ...

As Libertas wrote, though, what's the point?  The lawmakers are said to be "more intrigued with the idea of using different metal combinations in producing coins."  I'll bet they are -- pot metal's worth nothing.

Why go to a steel or aluminum coin when we can save the planet and make them from cow dung. A dollar ain't worth chit anyway.
