Title: Ed Koch, 88
Post by: IronDioPriest on February 01, 2013, 10:23:53 AM
(Is this the wrong time to mention that he always reminded me of Grandpa Munster?)

From a generation when every liberal in the public eye wasn't a f**king communist traitor. RIP.

Former NYC Mayor Ed Koch, 88 (http://hotair.com/archives/2013/02/01/breaking-mayor-ed-koch-passes-away-at-88/)

Yeah, I see the resemblance!  ;D

But yeah, he doesn't thrill me on some things but he got some things right and as a man seemed decent, cannot say that about the clowns carrying the torch for his party now...

RIP Ed.

Back from the days of honest leftists.  Leftists that didn't try to hide what's on their minds by trying to bullobama the stupid.

RIP  ::USA::

Ed, you were a good man. Obama took advantage of your infirmity to obtain your endorsement.  At least from
your vantage in Heaven you will be able to see him
burn in Hell.  RIP

One of my favorite people, in fact. I saw him give an interview years ago and he was lamenting the low state of political discourse between citizens. His plea "it's politics, not personal!", in stark contrast to the Alinsky approach taken by so many others, won me over.
"A liberal with a brain!"  I think he described himself as.

Perhaps that was true then, I dunno, but I know it isn't now -- ALL politics is personal.
