I can scarcely imagine how useful that could be in a SHTF situation. What a great thing to know!

I agree, I'll never go hungry while surrounded by cans of food even if I don't have an opener.

We are beginning the construction of our storeroom this weekend. We already have the room. It needs to be cleaned out and the shelves need to be properly re-installed. I'm thinking of replacing the frame walls with cinder block and installing a steel door.

We have quite a bit of medium-term and long-term food put aside but it needs to be properly stored and organized. And then we need to keep building it up. I'm thinking about a three year supply.

And I think we will have a can opener but that's a neat trick.

Get you a couple of P-51s and P-38s, just in case.

Nice clip, more info is a good thing.

PS-We used to get those "John Wayne's" with our MREs back in my Squid days.  Simple little buggers, but they work.

 ::thumbsup::

I'm down to 1 P-51. Should have bought more when I last saw them.

Neat trick to know. I have used a knife to get cans open.
