I understand that sentiment, but to be fair and more accurate, once we thought the obliteration of the Taliban & AQ was done we should have pulled out. If crazies act up again just bomb them back deeper into the stone age...they seem to like the stone age, so it is a public service after all.
But we should have pulled out by 2003-2004. There is no way that territory was ever going to be pacified and democratized like it was a civilized nation.

My friend's son would be alive if that had happened. He died in 2005. I know there's many, many others but I think of him and his family this time of year (fall) because he was supposed to be home at Thanksgiving and he was killed a week before.
