Title: It takes a Sikh
Post by: charlesoakwood on March 29, 2013, 05:03:56 PM

A Christian could never do this but Mr. Khalsa is turning the tables on the race baiting, special interest, al alaha hate whitey gun grabbers.   He's suing the state of California for the right, and all Americans, to carry  an assault weapon with a high capacity magazine.  He says it violates his religion and it's valid.  Also the suit claims violation of the 2nd, 14th amendments of himself and others.

The Sikhs are not my enemy. Usually they are peaceful and my understanding is that they only believe in defensive action, though some claiming their religion have done awful things, others of their religion have stood against them. They must not be confused with Islamics.

The Sikhs know from firsthand knowledge all about "the religion of peace" and are worthy allies against it.

It's a sad gawdamned state of affairs in this country when we are forced to depend on a Sikh = minority to stand up and fight for his rights, and OUR rights because White Christian men = NRA members have no standing.

WAR.

It is a sad state of affairs but the story causes me to take heart.
They may perceive him a minority, however, he perceives himself as an American.   And if it takes a Sikh to toss his shoes into this Tyrantasaurus gearworks, well, he's participating in America's grand tradition. He's one of us.

I should add that I do not want them migrating en masse to Western countries, but in international affairs they are allies against the Islamofascists.

Right.  They're fine doing what they do exactly where they are.

But... but... diverrrrrsity is our strennnngth. We're a multi-cultural tossed salad, where no one culture is superior to another.

Without the Sikhs, well, we would be less American. We wouldn't have great songs like Sikh yer Booty or Shimmy Sikh. We wouldn't have chocolate sikhs. We wouldn't even have the hand-sikh. Think about how universal the phrase "sikh before opening", and then tell me we need less Sikhs and not more.
